“Stress Free” by J.A. Tan on permanent exhibit at Philippine Consular Office in Vancouver
When the Philippine Consulate transferred to their new office space at Canada Place, Vancouver, J.A. loaned 7 of his artworks to give color and a welcoming atmosphere to the consular office. His paintings hung on the walls in the board room and the public space from February to Dec. 17, 2015. This began a wonderful practice of showcasing the talent of Filipino-Canadian artists in British Columbia. On December 18, 2015, in simple but very meaningful ceremonies, Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer and Deputy Consul Anton Mandap expressed appreciation for J.A’s sharing of his paintings with the consular office and donating a painting. J.A. Tan’s work “Stress Free” now permanently hangs in a prominent location at the Philippine Consular office in Vancouver.
