FILIPINO-CANADIAN ARTIST J.A. TAN HOLDS “MINDSCAPES” EXHIBIT AT THE PHILIPPINE CONSULATE IN VANCOUVER 

Vancouver, BC – The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver is proud to present the exhibit “Mindscapes,” by J.A. Tan, a talented Filipino-Canadian artist with autism.  The exhibit features a collection of J.A. Tan’s paintings, showcasing his unique perspective on landscapes and abstract art, mostly inspired by local Vancouver locations and trips to the Philippines. His works are reflections of his rich imagination and attention to detail, which is a testament to his remarkable artistic talent.

J.A. Tan is a graduate of Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver. His art has been described as captivating, thought-provoking, and awe-inspiring. His use of bold colors and sweeping brushstrokes create a sense of movement and emotion that speaks to the soul of the viewer. His paintings are a journey into the mind of an artist who sees the world in a different light.

The Philippine Consulate is honored to host J.A. Tan’s Exhibit and hopes to provide a platform for emerging Filipino-Canadian artists to showcase their talent in Canada and the world.  

The “Mindscapes” exhibit is ongoing until April 8, 2023.  The Philippine Consulate is open from Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
